Delhi Public School, Ranchi was established in 1989 is a private school in Ranchi, Jharkhand, India. The school is managed by Delhi Public School Society, New Delhi.

Infrastructure

There are two separate buildings, one from pre-primary to class XI while other for classes X, XI, XII along with labrotaries, computer centre and library. The school has highly experienced staff in nearly all faculties. A new administrative block of the school is under construction. After this construction is over there will be very little space left for the students to move around in the school campus except the playground which is half the football field and a space of size of two volley ball courts..[citation needed]

Mottos, slogans, and fight songs

Motto of the school is "Service Before Self"[citation needed]. The School Song is "March DPS March"[citation needed].

The school

The computer block of the school is an integral part of the "D.P.S, Ranchi FEEL". The school has had a record of very good performance in Std X, Std XII and all other national level exams and talent/ scholarship hunts[citation needed]. It has been a hub of quizzers, although the trend seems to dwindle in the recent batches[citation needed].

The school has always given a scope for an all-round development for an individual albeit a bit lesser when it boils down to sports. Although the students have succeeded in winning laurels in many tournaments (national as well as state), the school authorities seem to have given a "Blind Eye" attitude towards sports facilities.[citation needed]

The school has managed to detach itself from the up-market "State of the Art" tag by being devoid of facilities of canteen, gym etc. while maintaining a high standard in providing education. It can boast of having one of the best libraries that a school can offer.[citation needed]
