== Regarding Lysicrates Foundation - there is no copyright violation ==

I have been asked by John Azarias, founder of the Lysicrates Foundation, to create an article in Wikipedia.
The Foundation is a charity organisation and I have volunteered my time to assist John.
If you need any documentation to support this then John Azarias is quite willing to furnish it.
Please reinstate the draft so that I can add to it and get it published.
Thank you

Page Deletion

Hello, I was in the midst of creating a draft of a page ‘Mark Viner’ and have just spent three hours doing so when suddenly the whole thing disappears and I’m informed it has been deleted. Could you please explain what I have done wrong? It would be nice to be informed rather than have everything I’ve just done deleted. I’m a professional musician with an international career, a dozen recordings to my name and a worldwide following so whatever vanity I have lies in those facts rather than a Wikipedia page which is simply necessary. Many thanks! MarkViner (talk) 06:04, 18 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Tomorrow deletion

Hello Jim,

I edited the page Hello Tomorrow non-profit before you deleted it and was wondering if you looked at it. I was wondering what I could do to improve the page so it would be able to become a page? Brittanybio (talk) 11:15, 18 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I read what you wrote and I will edit it to fit the criteria. I am not getting paid and I am not in any way in collaboration about the organization. It is just my first article I have written so I am still learning how to write an article with an Encyclopedia tone. Thank you for the help and advice!!! Also, will you undo the delete so I can edit the article? Thank you — Preceding unsigned comment added by Brittanybio (talkcontribs) 12:22, 18 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Page Deletion

Many thanks for this.

So, basically, in this instance:

1. It must be written by someone else 2. No pullquotes of any kind (even if from respected periodicals) 3. No URLs save in ‘External links’ tab.

Please could you resend me the text of the thing so I can edit and pass on to another contributor? I’m only embarrassed to have the words ‘shameless self-promotion’ attached to my name, so please remove this as, in reality, I am the last person to say anything nice about myself and if I knew I would be getting into all this I wouldn’t have dared attempt to write anything at all. Nonetheless, thank you for your guidance. MarkViner (talk) 15:55, 18 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

MarkViner You are not forbidden to write about yourself, but it is discouraged. Quotes and other opinions aren't usually appropriate in articles about people, your notability rests on your verifiable achievements. External links should be minimal, its the in-line refs that matter. See Felix Mendelssohn. I'll restore the text as a draft, with some editing, but I'm tight on time so it won't be today. Sandbox page deletion

Respected Jimfbleak Sir, I was creating a sandbox page to practice editing as mentioned in wikipedia guidelines. I am trying hard to follow wikipedia guidelines hence giving references to the facts written in the article. I was creating the article step by step and it was not complete. Please take into consideration that it is my first article. I want to follow all wikipedia guidelines. I will be thankful if your authority can inform me where I seem to be not following the guidelines. I will change the information in its true sense because I do not wish to make any advertisement of any kind. If you feel that any information is not needed then I can also delete it. I feel that information submitted by me is true in this article. Please guide me accordingly so that as a wikipedia writer I will get motivated and remain on correct writing path. Info from your side will be highly appreciated. MA$HRVA (talk) Write Right!! 18:02, 18 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

  • Respected Jimfbleak Sir,I wish to inform that I am a learner and not a paid editor. Also I am not Shripad Vaidya i.e. I am not writing about myself. If some information looks to your authority as promotional I am ready to change / delete as per your satisfaction and guidelines. I got the info that my article looks like a resume so I will study other articles and will make sure that my article should be satisfactory. It will take some time, may be few months, because I am not expert in editing. I will publish the article only after improving it upto satisfaction of your authority. The references given by me are reliable like Guinness World Records, Limca book of records, and reputed press releases i.e. The Times of India, etc. For rewriting this article I need to get it back. Because all the references are attached to it. Please inform how I can get it back for rewriting in my sandbox. Thanks MA$HRVA (Talk) Write Right!! 18:53, 18 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • You would do better to start from scratch. the deleted version is a mixture of outright spam, like He paved a new way for happy, empowered and prosperous human life, and trivia like the non-notable games he has invented and the claimed records. As to the references, as I said it's ridiculously over-referenced anyway, why does a quote from him The systematic process of using knowledge and eco-innovations... need 8 references, instead of just one to verify where he said it? Even if he said it eight times, we only need it verified once Jimfbleak - talk to me? 05:53, 19 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
    • Respected Sir, Thanks for the guidance. I will try again as per the guidance received. I will also study other guinness world record holders' wikipedia. With regards. Thank you. MA$HRVA (Talk) Write Right!! 11:37, 19 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

declared COI

Hi Jim, I declared my COI (UNPAID intern) for the article I was trying to publish. I also updated all my sources and cited correctly and reworded my lead and a bunch of other things. Can I try to re-publish the Ubongo (company) page? Francescadannunzio (talk) 08:09, 20 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Francescadannunzio, in principle you can, but you must follow the guidance I posted on your talk page. First, you need to consider if Ubongo meets the notability criteria I linked; if it doesn't you're wasting your time, it will keep being rejected. You tell us nothing about the company apart from promoting its products. You don't tell us how many employees it has, its turnover and profits or even where it's based. Without facts, it's not notable. Much of your text was completely unsourced, or referenced to unsuitable sites including YouTube, blogs and the company itself. All your facts will need proper references. The tone of your previous attempt was highly promotional, as I pointed out. All these issues must be addressed for the article to survive Jimfbleak - talk to me? 10:55, 20 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Move a page

Shunesburg69 Hi, I'm not an English native and the new system for create a new page is a mess. How I could put all the code in the right place ? Thanks

Mark Viner

Dear Jim,

Many thanks, indeed for the page restoration and the helpful edits. I qualify for five categories of the WP:MUSICBIO criteria. These are:

1. I was cover feature for the Jul/Aug 2018 issue of International Piano Magazine 5. I have six albums on the Piano Classics label 7. I am a prominent representative of Alkan’s music 9. I’ve won a 1st Prize in a major piano competition 12. My last album of Chaminade’s music was featured for a whole week of broadcasts on WCRB (Classical Radio Boston)

Three of these (nos.5, 7 & 9) I have already mentioned and to mention the rest seems a bit trivial - the guidance of the WP:MUSICBIO says I need to meet at least one of these items of criteria so is this ok? Should I add anything else?

Very many thanks, again,

Mark Viner (talk) 22:57, 21 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Mark Viner, the main weakness is lack of references. In particular, a reviewer would expect to see a ref for the claimed Athens prize and for the planned complete works, although you could leave the latter out until it happens if you can't find an RS source Jimfbleak - talk to me? 11:02, 22 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Many thanks for the guidance, Jimfbleak. I’ve added a citation from the Alink-Argerich Foundation website (about as reliable source there ever was for such matters). The project to record Alkan’s complete piano music I expect to take at least ten years - the second installment of this is due for release in September and once an announcement of this is made in a reputable review/press feature (i.e. Gramophone/BBC Music Magazine) I’ll cite it. Thank you, again Mark Viner (talk) 05:21, 24 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

On the "blue energy harvesting"

Dear Jimfbleak, I want to create the new entry "blue energy harvesting". I have copied some contents from one published paper. The paper is mine. Can I directly copy it or revise it to get different from the existing paper? The draft "blue energy harvesting" has been deleted. Thank you very much!

Notability and COI for Draft:Queens Night Market

Hi! I'd love to create an article about Queens Night Market that is both neutral and meets the notability requirements. I only referenced a small subset of independent materials which I think meet the notability requirements, and restricted all citations to large national or international publications (eg, NYT, WSJ, AP, Reuters, etc). None of the references were as a result of any advertising or sponsorship or partnership with my organization.

When I found out that the Queens Night Market was now part of the New York City Wikipedia article, I wanted to create a Wikipedia cross-reference to that link that users could click on so they wouldn't have to independently google our project.

I would love your advice on how to make the draft more appropriate for Wikipedia. Is it the inline references? The tone?

Of course writing neutrally is incredibly difficult. I already took out all references to myself and to the origins and mission of the project. I really just want people to know where and what it is and why it's referenced in the New York City article from a cultural perspective.

Would love more of your advice. Thank you!!!

Hello Jimfbleak,

Trust my message meets you well?

The removed cMapIT article is not yet complete and I should have at least given a notice before removal. Kindly reconsider.
