"Koi no Tsubomi" (Love Bud) is Kumi Koda's 31st solo under the Rhythm Zone label. It is her first single since the release of "Someday/Boys♥Girls" (2006) which ended off a 12 week project leading to the release of her second greatest hits compilation, BEST ~second session~ (2006). "Koi no Tsubomi" was released on CD and CD&DVD May 24, 2006. "Koi no Tsubomi" is also the theme song to the drama "Busu no Hitomi ni Koishiteru", starring Goro Inagaki from SMAP. This single also smashed records by passing the 1,000,000 mark for legal online\mobile purchases in nine days.
