Lord Botetourt High School (LBHS) is one of two high schools in Botetourt County, Virginia. It was built in 1958, in suburban Daleville, Virginia, opening the fall of 1959. It currently has 73 faculty members serving over 1,000 students grades 9-12.[4] LB, as it is commonly known, is named for Norborne Berkeley, 4th Baron Botetourt, the governor of Virginia from 1768 to 1770. LB's athletic teams are known as the "Cavaliers," and the school colors are Scarlet, Gray, White.

LBHS Wrestling

Conference 31 Championship win

The Lord Botetourt High School Wrestling Team won the 2017 Conference 31 Wrestling Championship under Head Coach Charles "Chuck" Burton and Assistant Coaches John Carlton and Randall Sell. Individual champions include Tyler Mann 120, Jake DuVall 126, Ethan Young 132, Luke Young 138, Jacob Booth 152, Logan Poff 182, and Jessie Hanson 285. Jacob Honaker 113, Jacob Brown 170, and Eric Reynolds 220 finished 2nd. Hunter Sell 145 and Hunter Fielder 195 finished 3rd.

LBHS Marching Cavaliers

The Lord Botetourt High School Marching Cavalier Band is a show and competition program consisting of members from Lord Botetourt and Read Mountain Middle School band programs. The Marching Cavaliers compete in many competitions, in and out of state, as well as performing in football games and parades.

The Marching Cavaliers are currently under the direction of band director Chris Caldwell and assistant band director Jamie Lawson. The band has received numerous awards through the years. The Marching Cavaliers highest honor to date was being receiving First Place in Class AAA at the USSBA Virginia State Championships. The Band went to Nationals in 2010 with their "Let's Stretch" performance.
