Ashika Ranganath is an Indian actress who rose in fame from the 2016 film, Crazy Boy[1] as female lead, directed by Mahesh Babu. She later starred in numerous films such as, Mass Leader as Shreya, directed by Narasimha, and Mugulu Nage, directed by Yogaraj Bhat[2] in 2017.
Career
Her Career in Acting started after Mahesh Babu, an Indian director, who directed Crazy Boy, picked her up during a Clean and Clear Fresh Face Bangalore contest. She was nominated for the Best Debutant Actress in a Leading Role Award by SIIMA after starring in her debut movie, Crazy Boy, as a female lead, which was completed in 100 days.[3]
Personal life
Ranganath was born in 5 August 1996, in Tumkur, a city of Karnataka, India.
She was brought up by her father N. Ranganath, a Civil Contractor, and her mother, B. Sudha Ranganath, a housewife.[4] Ranganath has an elder sister Anusha Ranganath, also an actress.
Ranganath studied in Bishop Sargant School, Tumkur and later moved to Bangalore, the capital of Karnataka, for her Pre-University in Jyoti Nivas College, where she auditioned for a Clean and Clear Fresh Face Bangalore contest, emerging as the runner-up of Miss Fresh Face 2014.
Ranganath was also trained in various dance forms including freestyle, Bollywood, Belly and western.[5][6][7]
