There seems to be more automated claims from this company, the last one being Mumbo Jumbo (YouTube creator) whom around 400 videos got claimed in 2 hours on 19/04/2019 with no actual copyright infringement. <!-- Template:Unsigned --><small class="autosigned">—&nbsp;Preceding unsigned comment added by Dododingo (talk • contribs) 18:13, 19 May 2019 (UTC)</small>

Even now, this is still talked about. For instance, in Tom Scott's relatively recent YouTube video on copyright infringement on YouTube, he used it as a prime example. I think it should be added to the article, with the following source: https://reclaimthenet.org/mumbo-jumbo-youtube-copyright-claims/ 19:54, 8 May 2020 (UTC)

WikiProject Companies To-do:

Here are some tasks awaiting attention:

Sony acquisition

I am confused. I had read that Warner Music had been acquired by Sony. What happened to that bit of history? Is this group still part of Sony? Did they split off again? This is so incomplete.

Also Standford just did a bunch of interviews with people from this company that might be referenced in this article

Pronunciation

Can someone knowledgeable add something about the pronunciation of 'Chappell'? Is it like Dave Chappelle or Chapel Hill? ... Or something else? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:642:C103:6590:81E4:8790:FB5D:A81E (talk) 19:36, 13 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

There seems to be more automated claims from this company, the last one being Mumbo Jumbo (YouTube creator) whom around 400 videos got claimed in 2 hours on 19/04/2019[1] with no actual copyright infringement. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Dododingo (talkcontribs) 18:13, 19 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

References

Hello everyone, an addition about Mumbo Jumbo case. I don't know if this article can be used as a reliable source for this subject. I will let you juge. https://5mag.net/news/mumbo-jumbo-youtube-copyright-warner-chappell/[1] Regards — Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.89.40.232 (talk) 19:00, 19 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I don't think it's necessarily a question about whether we can find reliable sources for this, but rather if it even needs to be mentioned in the article. My guess is that at some point this week either a WC or YouTube rep will realize they screwed something up, apologise, and we'll never hear another word about it. It's not really significant until it gets significant/sustained coverage; a week from now I doubt anyone will even remember it happened (except those reading this talk page).
