Prophet Elvis Mbonye is a Ugandan religious leader, Author and Prophetic clergy. He was born in 1977 to Leo and Teddy Ntiru of Bugolobi, Kampala and he has six siblings. He is the author of the book Tasting The Powers Of Ages To Come’ (2012).[1]

He attended Mbuya nursery school and Kiswa primary school for his Primary Education, Kigezi College Butobere for his Uganda Certificate of Education and Standard High School in Zana for his Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education. In 2004, he was awarded a bachelor of arts degree in Development Studies from Makerere University.[2]

In 1998, he became a born again during his first year at university where he was always against the works of the church and God as he disturbed and mocked his sisters during their prayer meetings. During one of the prayer sessions attended at his family's home in Kitantale , he started speaking in tongues and prophesying. Later, he joined Victory City Church before starting his own ministry after the alleged private meetings with God on hills.[3]

In 2012, he started Tuesday Zoe fellowships in Kamwokya as he had no church. In 2014, Mbonye started quarterly fellowships at Hotel Triangle in Kampala.

His Alleged Prophecies

He prophesized that former vice president Gilbert Bukenya would return to Uganda’s ruling National Resistance Movement party. He also foretold the exact day and month of the 2004 Asian tsunami, the 2010 Kampala twin bombings, the withdrawal of Great Britain from the European Union, Brexit, the Mabira forest wrangles in 2007 and the crashing of three UPDF choppers in Kenya

In May 2020, he wrote an open letter to the political leaders in his country Uganda, warning them
