B 612 is the designation of the asteroid that is the home of the title character in Antoine de Saint-Exupéry's classic novella The Little Prince. In the story, the asteroid is described as having two active volcanoes, an extinct volcano and a rose.[1]

The name of the asteroid 46610 Bésixdouze was suggested by F. Hemery and Jiří Grygar as a reference to the novella.
