Although the hotel was doubtless named after the Queen, contrary to what the introduction of the article implies she was not Queen, but then Princess of Kent and aged only 13 in the year she is stated to have 'opened' the hotel. I am aware that with her mother the Duchess the Kent she went on a series of tours of Britain that included Shropshire and, as is made clear later on in the article, she visited the hotel, so I am rewording the introduction accordingly as a visit not an opening.[[User:Cloptonson|Cloptonson]] ([[User talk:Cloptonson|talk]]) 19:42, 6 July 2020 (UTC) |

Victoria NOT Queen in 1832
Although the hotel was doubtless named after the Queen, contrary to what the introduction of the article implies she was not Queen, but then Princess of Kent and aged only 13 in the year she is stated to have 'opened' the hotel. I am aware that with her mother the Duchess the Kent she went on a series of tours of Britain that included Shropshire and, as is made clear later on in the article, she visited the hotel, so I am rewording the introduction accordingly as a visit not an opening.Cloptonson (talk) 19:42, 6 July 2020 (UTC)
