Proposed merge with List of November 2019 Hong Kong protests
Still part of the larger conflicts. List of November 2019 Hong Kong protests is sufficient to handle this and this is a redundant WP:CONTENTFORK OceanHok (talk) 14:37, 14 November 2019 (UTC)
- Agree. –Wefk423 (talk) 15:46, 14 November 2019 (UTC)
- Merge. Half the article is a reproduction of the monthly article, the other half is responses which are not that relevant. I doubt there will be much more developments. Full disclosure, I removed two sentences [1]. --Cold Season (talk) 01:11, 15 November 2019 (UTC)
- Disagree. The proposed merge will serious harm the readability of List of November 2019 Hong Kong protests. Also, I do not think the responses are irrelevant. In the 2019 Yuen Long attack article, similar types of responses were also included. Universehk (talk) 03:14, 15 November 2019 (UTC)
- Disagree. It is because this incident is a very serious incident which is showing that HK Police is abusely and indiscriminately hurting or even killing the normal citizens without any weapon. Also, it is a hateful incident showing that HK Police is abuse at violating normal citizens' safety and that' s why this independent page should kept individually. Carsonbosco (talk) 04:07, 15 November 2019 (UTC)
- Please cut that BS and keep it WP:NPOV.
- If you were a police officer, what would you do? What would you do if they (the peaceful protestors) tried to grab your gun off you? Bare this in mind, if you lose your gun, you are in serious trouble and don't me this nonsense that police officers are not entitled to carry guns. Have you gave thoughts to the street cleaner who got killed by a brick thrown directly at him? 82.26.220.45 (talk) 10:17, 16 November 2019 (UTC)
- Wikipedia is not a place for you to express your political point of view here. Anyway, considering the concerns from Taiwanese and Japanese leaders, I emphasize my disagreement of the proposed merge. Universehk (talk) 20:36, 17 November 2019 (UTC)
- Merge. Too much bias, once it is pruned, it isn't much of an article left. This is written to look as if the police has pulled the gun out indiscriminately ignoring that it was caused by the protestors trying to steal his gun. 82.26.220.45 (talk) 10:41, 16 November 2019 (UTC)
- Merge. WP:NOTNEWS. The incident is an integral part of the protests and it makes little sense to treat the incident apart. Forking it off reduced the likelihood of it getting read. -- Ohc ¡digame! 09:06, 21 November 2019 (UTC)
Notification of re-split discussion
- @OceanHok, Wefk423, Cold Season, Carsonbosco, Universehk, and Ohconfucius: Notifying participants of the above merge discussion that there is a discussion to split the article back out at Talk:Timeline of the 2019–20 Hong Kong protests (November 2019)#Split request for "2019 November Shooting Incident in Sai Wai Ho". — MarkH21talk 21:02, 28 September 2020 (UTC)
