Roots Reggae and Africa section

The section titled "Roots Reggae and Africa" looks more like an opinion piece than part of an encyclopedia entry.

Buju Banton, Sizzla ?!?

I noticed that every while some non roots reggae artist are added. (Recently Buju Banton and before that Sizzla). Do we really want these artist to be included in this list ?

Also, King Tubby and Lee Perry are more often associated with Dub reggae... 128.230.121.224 17:06, 13 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Roots is a dubious concept and I dont really agree with what you are saying, Perry is very associated with roots, Sizzla and Buju less but still with that Rasta feel, SqueakBox 05:04, 16 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I've removed the following from the article as spam or irrelevant. If anyone feels that they are reliable sources and have any relevant content, I suggest working them into the article as references:

Remove your own ideological standpoints from text please

"resistance to fascism, capitalism". Also resistance to "socialism, communism" and all other "-isms". Why didn't you mention those?

Because roots lyrics talk about poverty of people living in ghettos while businessmen thrive. Socialists and Communists have that complaint too, while Fascists just beat shit out of you for mentioning it. So it would be odd for roots reggae to be "opposing" what agrees with it. 2A02:A442:581E:1:3C2C:DBFB:2A78:30E0 (talk) 02:20, 5 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
