== Multiple reverts and unecessary threats ==

Hi, sorry to bother you. I've had my edits on article Raw Foodism reverted numerous times and people have insulted and threatened to report or block me, even though I've been following wikipedia's policies and haven't insulted anyone in the process. Going through the articles related to dispute resolutions brought me to your user page. I wonder what dispute resolution would be more appropriate to my case since I am not familiar with what venue has proven to be more efficient when it comes to dispute resolution. The disputes have happened on the articles Raw Foodism, its talk page, my talk page and another user's talk page. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Raw_foodism, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Psychologist_Guy, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Raw_foodism, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Wikieditor1377. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks. [[User:Wikieditor1377|Wikieditor1377]] ([[User talk:Wikieditor1377|talk]]) 01:52, 1 November 2020 (UTC)

Mapframe enquiry

Hi Evad37, I noticed you added mapframe to Infobox shopping mall, would you be interested in doing the same for Infobox school? These maps look far better than the terrible looking pushpin maps. I'm going to start a discussion at some point on removing pushpins map altogether from the template and replace with mapframe. Please let me know, thanks Steven (Editor) (talk) 20:49, 12 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Steven (Editor): Sure, I can add mapframe map capability. I am working my way through the list at WP:Mapframe maps in infoboxes, but will do requests also. Since that infobox is template-protected, I'll edit the sandbox later today or tomorrow, and leave a note on the talk page (just about adding mapframes, not removing anything). If there's no concerns raised, I can then make the edit to the live template a few days later. - Evad37 [talk] 22:21, 12 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you and I see, I look forward to it. The other question I have is would it be possible to make it collapsible in the Infobox, so it’s basically hidden and to see the map, you would have to click on “Show map” or something like that? The reason I’m asking is because this Infobox has three images that can be displayed at the top before the current pushpin map and address – logo, seal and image; most articles will have one or two used, I’ve never come across one with all three. Anyway, when two are used and then you have the map, it makes the Infobox too long at the top. But if this is not possible that’s ok.
I’ll be doing another discussion after on the removal of pushpin, you will notice on the talk I’m already working on a huge cleanup Steven (Editor) (talk) 00:23, 13 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Todo

Hey, this looks like a great tool User:Evad37/ToDoLister. Is there a way to make that list private, like a watchlist?VR talk 21:05, 27 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Vice regent: Thanks. A private list isn't really possible without storing the data off-wiki, which would be more complicated than this script which is effectively just automating the editing of a user subpage. - Evad37 [talk] 02:26, 28 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Ok. I wonder how do watchlists work? They're private, right? VR talk 03:09, 28 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
And could the page be such that its only visible to the user and admin, but not to everyone else? VR talk 03:09, 28 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Watchlists are a built-in feature of the MediaWiki software. There isn't any way to prevent anyone from seeing the content of a page on Wikipedia, protection only prevents editing. - Evad37 [talk] 03:16, 28 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
So my proposed change would have to be made at MediaWiki? Is there a forum for suggesting changes to them? VR talk 17:06, 28 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Vice regent: It doesn't necessarily need to be a built-in part of MediaWiki, just the storage of the list items needs to be offsite, with some authentication to ensure that the lists can only be accessed by their creators. It would be possible with a Toolforge tool using mw:OAuth authentication, but I don't currently have the time to take on such a project. You can try asking at WP:SCRIPTREQ, or at WP:VPT, or if you want to request a built-in MediaWiki version, then you could file a task request per mw:How to report a bug - Evad37 [talk] 10:20, 29 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

A cup of tea for you!

Just wanted to thank you for your XfdCloser tool. It is so usefull. Asmodea Oaktree (talk) 10:47, 28 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
