    • COVID-19 pandemic in South Korea
      • The government will increase social distancing rules in the Seoul Capital Area to Level 2 and both North and South Jeolla Province to Level 1.5 from November 24 amidst a third wave of COVID-19. It means that in level 2, gatherings involving more than 100 are banned, some high-risk facilities are told to close, and restaurants must restrict their dine-in service until 9:00 pm local time. Cafes and coffee shops are only allowed to offer takeout and delivery services. Meanwhile, indoor sports facilities are ordered to close after 9:00 pm. (Yonhap News Agency)

      • Dubai Health Authority begins to introduce saliva tests to detect active SARS-CoV-2 infections in children aged 3-to-16 in all DHA facilities and DHA-run screening centers across Dubai. These tests are more than 90% diagnostic accurate, making them a viable alternative to nasal swab tests which, being uncomfortable, make it harder to test children. (Gulf News)
