Urkhao Gwra Brahma is a politician, poet and social worker who works for betterment of the Bodo society. He was a Member of the Parliament of India representing Assam in the Rajya Sabha, the upper house of the Indian Parliament. He got Sahitya Academy Award for his poetry Udangnifrai Gidingfinnanwi in 2014.[1] He was a President of the United People's Party Liberal.[2]
