Batmaloo is an area in Srinagar,[1] the summer capital city of Jammu and Kashmir, India.It is situated just about 2.5 km from Lal Chowk. Batmaloo is derived from Batmoul, comprised of two words "batte" signifies cooked rice and "moul" signifies father in Kashmiri.[2]
Known For
Batmaloo is known for the annual Urs[3] Mubarak of Sufi saint Hazrat Sheikh Dawood Sahib (R.A) popularly known as Batmol Sahib (R.A). [4][5]
