Polygala amara is a species of flowering plant in the milkwort family (Polygalaceae). It was described in 1769 and is endemic to Germany, Poland, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia, Serbia, and Montenegro.[1]
