Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.
When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:
Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)
I noticed your recent edit to Diary of a Wimpy Kid (film series) does not have an edit summary. Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.
Edit summary content is visible in:
Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. With a Wikipedia account you can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary. Nobody understands why you're changing the name as you're not explaining your edits. Please use the edit summary box to do this. 5 albert square (talk) 19:08, 10 January 2021 (UTC)

If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you should read the guide to appealing blocks, then contact administrators by submitting a request to the Unblock Ticket Request System.
Please note that there could be appeals to the unblock ticket request system that have been declined leading to the post of this notice.
- Patrick, I restored access to this talk page for you, so that you could make an unblock request here, in the way explained in the block notice above. However, I then saw that you had posted an abusive unblock request on UTRS. There is no question of unblocking an editor who takes that attitude to other editors. If you consider making another unblock request you really should read the guide to appealing blocks. You should also be warned that if you continue to express anger and aggression towards other editors who do things you don't like, not only are you unlikely to be unblocked, but you are also likely to lose both talk page access and access to UTRS. - Hi Patrick. It looks like your time editing on Wikipedia got off to a rough start. To get unblocked you will need to wait. You probably will need to wait at least six months. I would be happy to talk with you then about how to write a successful appeal. Wikipedia needs more editors but we also need editors who can write in our systems. The great thing about Wikipedia is that you are judged based not on your age or other characteristics. You are judged on what kind of edits you make. I think you might be able to be a great Wikipedian in the future. Best, Barkeep49 (talk) 16:32, 28 January 2021 (UTC)
- To add to what Barkeep has said, please read about the Standard Offer.-- 5 albert square (talk) 19:23, 28 January 2021 (UTC)
- Patrick, I have really tried to help you move towards being able to be unblocked, as you will know if you have read my email to you. Barkeep49 has perhaps tried even more than I have to encourage you, and even 5 albert square, who blocked you, has tried to help you by posting the message above. However, I have just seen the unblock request you made at UTRS using your other account, and considering that one together with the one you made earlier with this account, it is beginning to look as though you actually don't want to be unblocked. At present I am still willing to let you have another chance, but one more example of the sort of thing you did in those UTRS appeals is likely to mean that you will not get another chance. Please think very carefully about what I and the other administrators above have said. JBW (talk) 21:37, 28 January 2021 (UTC)
- Patrick, sorry for another message but this is to let you know that I have blocked both of your accounts at UTRS. Apart from anything else, as JBW has restored your talk page access here, you don't actually need UTRS access as you should currently be lodging an unblock request here. I would strongly suggest though that you read the link I sent you above to the Standard Offer and follow it. -- 5 albert square (talk) 22:37, 28 January 2021 (UTC)
OK, as I said above, I've tried to help you, but I have now seen what you did at UTRS with your latest sockpuppet, and I've finished with you. As far as I am concerned I don't see any reason to think you should ever be unblocked. The only purpose in restoring talk page access here was to give you a chance to make a proper unblock request, but it is clear that you have no intention of ever doing so, and all you are interested in now is childish trolling and personal attacks, so I have removed the talk page access which I had restored for you.
@5 albert square and Barkeep49: For your information. JBW (talk) 14:35, 24 February 2021 (UTC)
- I think "ever" is too long of a time. In a year or two a person can be very different in many ways and that could suggest they might be ready to edit Wikipedia. Now isn't the right time but I very much leave the door open for the future. Barkeep49 (talk) 16:57, 24 February 2021 (UTC)
- OK, Barkeep49 is right, because there is always the possibility that you will change in the future, in which case there is no reason you shouldn't come back. However, there is no question of that happening until you have moved on from the kind of things you have been posting at UTRS to a totally different approach. My guess is that you realise that, and don't really expect the "unblock requests" you post there to be accepted. JBW (talk) 17:49, 24 February 2021 (UTC)
- Patrick, to add to what has been said above, every time you create a sockpuppet account, you reset the Standard Offer. If you are looking to return to Wikipedia to edit constructively, I would suggest that you try editing other Wikipedias/WikiMedia projects constructively for at least 6 months as that will go in your favour for any other unblock appeal. If you ever lodge another unblock appeal, you will need to do completely the opposite of what you have been doing. Hopefully we can welcome you back as an editor in the future :)-- 5 albert square (talk) 11:47, 25 February 2021 (UTC)
