I read the that guidance. If I understand correctly, it appears that asking for advice isn't a violation of that policy page. I didn't ask you to turn away the user's changes. I asked you for advice for three reasons. 1. You seemed to be a film and biography user. 2. You've edited both the Pitt and Jolie pages (albeit the Jolie page says you only made one edit there). 3. I've seen other film users ask for advice or assistance on one another's talk pages. The user I asked you about just got another warning from a user who warned them before. I've tried to talk with the user. Other users have tried to talk with them. No luck. I'll follow the this guidance and try to engage WT:FILM. If WT:FILM is no help, I'll try to engage WT:FILMBIO.
