I'm gonna do you a favour and not get involved, otherwise you could be accused of WP:CANVASSing help. Just follow the rules and you should be ok. - wolf 13:29, 17 April 2021 (UTC)
- Hey, Thewolfchild. Thanks for the welcome.
- I read the that guidance. If I understand correctly, it appears that asking for advice isn't a violation of that policy page. I didn't ask you to turn away the user's changes. I asked you for advice for three reasons. 1. You seemed to be a film and biography user. 2. You've edited both the Pitt and Jolie pages (albeit the Jolie page says you only made one edit there). 3. I've seen other film users ask for advice or assistance on one another's talk pages. The user I asked you about just got another warning from a user who warned them before. I've tried to talk with the user. Other users have tried to talk with them. No luck. I'll follow the this guidance and try to engage WT:FILM. If WT:FILM is no help, I'll try to engage WT:FILMBIO. If that's no help, I'll just let it be. Film Bio Legacy (talk) 07:03, 18 April 2021 (UTC)
- I didn't make any accusations, it was just a friendly heads up to let you know about the policy. Regardless of what you did or didn't say, if you're in a disagreement with someone, and you post about it on another user page, don't be surprised if that other person starts to scream "Canvassing!! Omigawd!! You're canvassing!! You cheating SOB!" ...and so on and so fourth. It's been done before. It can be used to distract from the actual content dispute, and if it ends up at ANI, and you get the wrong the admin on the wrong day, well... it's possible that the end result is the content dispute doesn't go your way, and nothing will make sense. Just be aware, and be careful. Like I said, just a friendly heads up. - wolf 07:20, 18 April 2021 (UTC)
- Thewolfchild, OK. Thank you for the advice. Film Bio Legacy (talk) 07:23, 18 April 2021 (UTC)
