Chinonso Nnamdi Offor (born 27 May 2000) is a Nigerian professional footballer who currently plays as a centre forward for MLS side Chicago Fire FC.
Club career
Early career
Offor was born in Jos, Nigeria in 2000, but is originally from Ekwulobia in Anambra State, Nigeria.[1] He played for Real Sapphire in Lagos, Nigeria before making a move to Cyprus where he played for two seasons. He then moved to Latvia.
Real Sapphire Football Club
Offor started his football career in 2012 when he joined Real Sapphire owned by UK-based Nigerian businessman and football proprietor, Frank Peters.[2] Real Sapphire also nurtured and developed Olabanjo Alexander, Kazeem Aderounmu, Idowu Akintola and Basil Emeka who Offor later went on to play with and against in the Latvian league.[3]
Binatlı Yılmaz S.K.
Offor enjoyed a short spell with North Cyprian side Binatlı Yılmaz S.K.. He was sent on loan to Cihangir GSK where he spent a few months before returning to Binatlı Yılmaz S.K..
Daugavpils
In July 2019, Offor moved to Latvia where he secured a contract with Daugavpils. He made 22 appearances for the Virslīga side.
FK Rīgas Futbola Skola
Offor joined RFS in July 2020 from Daugavpils.[4][5] He was an instant hit, scoring his first goal for the club within 24hrs of completing his move. He was brought on as a 46th minute substitute and scored in the 73rd minute.[6] Offor was part of the squad that was beaten 1-0 by FK Partizan on 28 August 2020 in the Europa League first qualifying round.[7]
Chicago Fire FC
In November 2020, Offor signed a three-year contract and a one-year option with MLS side Chicago Fire FC. The contract commenced in January 2021 and he made his first official appearance in a friendly match against New York City FC on 13 March 2021.[1]
