Udaariyaan is an Indian television drama series that airs on Colors TV. Produced by Sargun Mehta and Ravi Dubey, it premiered on 15 March 2021. It stars Isha Malviya , Priyanka Chahar Choudhary and Ankit Gupta.

Plot

Hailing from a small village named Moga, Punjab, the Sandhu family dreams to go to Canada one day. Jasmine (Isha Malviya) is a carefree girl who aspires to marry an NRI from Canada and settle there. Tejo (Priyanka Choudhary) who prefers her village over Canada wants to lead a simple life in Punjab.

Whereas, a famous boxer Fateh Singh Virk (Ankit Gupta) is in love with Jasmine Kaur Sandhu. Whenever he tries to express his feelings to Jasmine, he ends up saying it to Tejo instead. Tejo thinks that Fateh is following her and ends up misunderstanding him.

Meanwhile, Tejo's family gets her marriage fixed to Jass Kohli, who says he is an NRI and will take them to Canada. But in reality, Jass is only behind their property and money. Jass and his mom keep a condition saying that she has to either marry Jass in the next ten days or wait for two years to marry him. Tejo agrees for only for the sake of her family's happiness. After she agrees for the marriage, Jass visits her house, where Fateh sees Jass with Jasmine and thinks that Jass is marrying Jasmine. Fateh goes on to threaten Jass and ends up hurting him. In the hospital he learns that Tejo is in fact Jasmine's sister and Jass in marrying Tejo and not Jasmine.

Tejo confronts Fateh about the matter and learns that he loves Jasmine and all those confessions were for her. Tejo then reveals Jasmine's craze and obession for Canada. Fateh is shocked upon hearing this as his father, Khushbeer Singh Virk, is still angry on his eldest daughter, Simran who ran away from marriage to go to Canada.

Soon after, Tejo's wedding preparations start and Fateh successfully confesses his love to Jasmine and she demands a Canadian Visa. Fateh tells her that he has applied for the job and that they must bond and get to know each other better. Jasmine gives him 1 month time. When Khushbeer learns about Fateh applying for a Canadian job, he confronts Fateh and the latter tells him the entire truth. Tejo overhears this and has a change of attitude towards Fateh. Jasmine and Fateh bond during the festivities while Tejo befriends Fateh.

On Tejo's wedding night, Jass escapes with his mother deserting Tejo. When Tejo arrives back home heartbroken, the Sandhu family is confused and suspect Fateh to have done something but he is revealed to be innocent. Tejo tends to lose her confidence and blames herself for all the miseries. Fateh and Jasmine help Tejo overcome this phase and restore her self confidence sighting that it wasn't her fault at all. When she heals, they decide to catch and expose Jass but he escapes with the jewelry.

Tejo soon confronts Jasmine if she has any feelings for Fateh, to which Jasmine replies that to her only her dream matters the most. Khushbeer, who is still adamant, asks Fateh to choose between his family and Jasmine and Fateh chooses Jasmine and is asked to leave the house. When Jasmine hears about this she goes to spend some time with Fateh. Some one tends to attack Khushbeer but Fateh takes the knife and is hospitalized. There they get the news of Fateh getting the job and Jasmine agrees to marry Fateh. Khushbeer too forgives Fateh and gets him back home but is still unsure about his marriage to Jasmine.

When Tejo reveals to the Sandhus that Fateh loves Jasmine whole heartedly and he now has a job in Canada, they all agree. Fateh and Jasmine's wedding festivities begin, Tejo is upset to see people talking about her failed marriage but Fateh consoles her in various instances. A day before his marriage, Fateh learns that his job got cancelled as the company went bankrupt and he will not get the Visa now. He breaks down upon learning this and is in a dilemma on how to reveal this to Jasmine, scared that she might break the marriage. Khushbeer gets to know about this and tells Rupi to reveal this to Jasmine and make her understand that Fateh will definitely take Jasmine to Canada but not right now. Rupi is unable to tell this to Jasmine seeing both the families so happy and excited.

Jasmine, who finally learns the truth on the wedding day, when Fateh reveals it to her, breaks her marriage with him and leaves the place saying that nothing is more important to her than her dreams. Watching Jasmine insult his love and leaving, Fateh is heartbroken. Everyone blames Rupi for this. But to save both the families' respect, they ask Fateh and Tejo to get married. After the elders convince them, Tejo and Fateh agree only for the sake of their families. Tejo weds Fateh. After the marriage, Fateh and Jasmine both blame Tejo for all that happened and she breaks down hearing all. Finally Fateh understands Tejo and stops blaming her.

After that Fateh's family members pay a visit to Vaishnava temple. During this time Tejo and Fateh understand each other by sharing their sorrows. At the same time Jasmine's father sends her to mama's house, where she decides to move on and asks her mama-mami to find an NRI of Canada and then enters a NRI named Gippi. This makes Fateh disturbed again by seeing Jasmine with Gippi. At the same Tejo motivates him to participate in boxing match and after lots of obstacles of emotions Fateh manages to win the match due to Tejo's motivation which irks Jasmine and she feels due to her Fateh has won the match.

Meanwhile Tejo is asked by the principal of her college to return to her job as lecturer at anytime, which overjoys Tejo. But due to the family traditions and Nimmo manipulating Gurpreet, Tejo is refused to join the job. Tejo tries to make the family understand about her passion but the family members along with Bauji refuses her plea. Then enters Fateh and supports Tejo's job inspite of his family's refusal, stating that Tejo is his wife and he's proud of her teaching profession and says he will drop Tejo to college daily and pick her up daily.

Fateh drops Tejo to the college on his bike. Jasmine's friend take the pics of Fateh and Tejo at the college and send Jasmine seeing which Jasmine gets restless. She feels insecure and vows to win Fateh back in her life. Later Fateh asks Tejo to help him in fading Jasmine's memory and move on in life to which Tejo agrees and asks him to help her inturn so that both of them can move on and both promise each other.

Next day Fateh finds Tejo disturbed due to a drama to which Tejo was the convenor and is left with only two days but preparations are pending. Looking Tejo in that condition Fateh vows to help her and visits her college and helps her. Meanwhile, they share some romantic moments and return home. Looking at them, Gurpreet (manipulated by Nimmo) says that his son has now become an assistant to Tejo, which makes Fateh feel bad and he goes from there without having dinner. Tejo comes with a plate of food to their room and asks Fateh to have dinner. Inspite of his denial she insists him and says him to just let the old things go from his head so that he can start a fresh and says him by starting a mission named JB (Jasmine Bhulao) they will forget the past and move on and asks Fateh to block her number. Fateh does this with a heavy heart,and then says that they will give Jasmine a new name just to fade her memories and both of them give her a name called Chameli,they laugh at each other.Next day Khushbeer asks his family to get ready to go to Sandhu's as they have called on occasion of birthday of Satti to which Gurpreet denies and refuses to go due to the insult they have done on the wedding day. Gurpreet is backed by Nimmo. Mahi asks Tejo to go to her mom's birthday accompanying Fateh because they won't be able to attend the birthday party as Khushbeer has some political work. Gurpreet interrupts and asks why Mahi is lying. She directly tells Tejo that they were purposefully not going, since they had faced humiliation due to her sister Jasmine and her mom Satti. Tejo sadly looks at her.

Tejo is accompanied by Fateh to her house where seeing him sad Tejo tells him to go back if he's not willing to and that she will return home with Abhiraj. Fateh, controlling his emotions, says that he has put forward his one step in forgetting Chameli (Jasmine) and wants to face the time as it can happen any other day and comes out of car. He helps Tejo in getting out of the car and they both tease each other calling their nick names (Shadayan & Lafanter). They happily enter the Sandhu house. Seeing them Sandhu's get happy and both Fateh and & Tejo take everyone's blessings.The family looks happy seeing Fateh & Tejo,both of them play dumb charades with the family. On the other hand,Jassu manipulates Gippy so that he can take her to her pind MOGA stating that satti's birthday is happening and she wants to give her a surprise by giving a sudden visit. Gippy agrees and take Jasmine to moga.While her family is enjoying and fatejo having their some cute moments,Tejo goes out to make a call to ask regarding the cake. Fateh follows her and asks her to go inside saying he will call the service men. When she refuses, Fateh calls her directly "Tejo" for the first time, which shocks her. Fateh says it was she who had asked him to forget the past and move on so why to call tejo ji,and they both share a laugh and handshake.This is seen by Jasmine from te gate door and she is dejected.Fatejo are taken inside by Dilraj and they both continue playing with family. But everyone gets shocked when Jasmine entered the house.Tejo looks at Fateh,who is recalling the words that Jasmine had said on the marriage day and all his moments with her. He gets up and goes to have a juice and controls his anger and goes out stating he will ask for the delivery of cake.Jasmine greets everyone and wishes Satti. Everyone questions her about her sudden arrival to which she arrogantly states she has come to her mom's birthday and goes on ,Rupy gets irked by her behaviour but is controlled by Bebe for Fateh and Tejo. Fateh sits in the veranda with a heavy heart and recalls all his moments with Jasmine. Noticing Tejo's arrival, he acts like calling the delivery guy,but Tejo in turn calls him breaking his drama. Tejo makes him feel comfortable and helps him by saying that he has to move on. Fateh agrees and they both again share a laugh calling their nick names. Satti asks Tejo and Fateh to cut the cake instead,they both cut the cake stating it's for their friendship and make everyone eat cake. Looking at their happy faces, Jasmine is dejected and runs back to her room and cries recalling her moments with Fateh. Jasmine comes to Fateh taking a plate of samosas and asks him to take one only to get ignored by him and Fateh inturn asks Tejo to feed him sweet so that all his bitterness can vanish.They leave the place and get back to their home. Jasmine stands fuming in anger and vows to get Fateh back by meeting him and clearing all misunderstandings between them. She calls Fateh and finds that she had been blocked by him. Next day Fateh drops Tejo to the college and he wishes good luck to Tejo for her drama performance. She happily thanks him and goes inside te college.Fateh starts his bike only to be interrupted by Jasmine on the way. She tries speaking to him but he ignores her and goes from there. This is watched by Tejo from the stairs and she goes inside,whereas jasmine stands fuming in anger at Fateh's act and she vows to show her stubbornness to Fateh.Later that night, Tejo takes Fateh to a restaurant and thanks him by arranging a dinner date. Fateh gets happy to see all his favourite dishes and they happily have the dinner. Satti calls Tejo and Tejo informs her about their dinner. Satti gets happy and cuts the call stating she will not disturb them. Jasmine overhears this and asks Satti,but she denies her to which Jasmine calls Amrik and gets to know the restaurant where Fatejo have gone. She calls one of her friends saying that she will take her to dinner(only to spy on Fatejo).Meanwhile on the other hand, Tejo discusses about their family academy to which fateh replies that due to lack of proper coach it had to be shut in upcoming days.Tejo says that they have a good coach and takes her mobile and shows him. Fateh gets surprised looking at his own self and says it's not so easy to be a coach and he should have passion to which Tejo says that she has seen his passion and Fateh says only in love. But Tejo says that she had seen his passion towards sports and his nation ,which is more than enough for him to coach younger upcoming guys. Fateh happily looks at her and ask her to sing a song along with him they sing a song and Fateh asks her to sing one more song but Tejo says no. He asks one of the guys in the restaurant to join him and sing so that they can make his wife jealous. Jasmine sings with him but again Fateh ignores her saying that no one can compete with his wife. He goes from there. Jasmine stands dejected and in anger. Fateh controls himself and Tejo comes to him and says she doesn't feel that tonight was bad except the end and says she doesn't think he is moving on, shocking Fateh.
