Balika Vadhu 2 (English: Child Bride) is an Indian soap opera that will be aired on Colors TV from 9 August 2021.[1] It is a reboot of the 2008 series Balika Vadhu.[2] [3]The series stars Vansh Sayani and Shreya Patel.[4]
The story is set in rural Rajasthan and revolves around the life of a child bride.

Plot
The story revolves around a child bride named Anandi, whose marriage had been fixed when she's in her mother's stomach.

Production
Development
The reboot of Balika Vadhu was confirmed in early 2021.[6] The casting was halted in April 2021 due to imposed lockdown in Maharashtra because of Covid-19 pandemic, and it resumed in June 2021.[7] The teaser of the series was released officially on 27 June 2021.[8] The first promo of the series was released on 18 July 2021 featuring child lead Shreya Patel and confirming the premiere date.[9]
Filming
The filming began in June 2021 where some initial sequences were shot at Rajasthan. Besides, the series is mainly filmed at sets in Mumbai, Maharashtra.[10]
