The Terminator is a 1984 action film directed by James Cameron and starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, Linda Hamilton and Michael Biehn. It was followed by Terminator 2: Judgment Day and Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines.

The DC Comics character, Deathstroke the Terminator was originally known simply as the Terminator.
