The Evaporators

The Evaporators are a Canadian indie rock band.

The band currently consists of vocalist Nardwuar the Human Serviette, who also plays (and rides) keyboard, guitarist David Carswell, bassist John Collins, and drummer Scott Livingstone. Lisa Marr, formerly of cub, was also formerly with The Evaporators. The same three also perfom as Thee Goblins, and their many variants.

Collaboration

The Evaporators are a supergroup of sorts. Although Nardwuar is not involved in other notable musical projects, he is well known (particularly in Western Canada) for his interviews of politicians and celebrities. John Collins, is a member of the popular Canadian group, The New Pornographers and David Carswell is in The Smugglers. On their CDs and records they often collaborate with notable artists such as Rodney Graham.

Release Formats

The Evaporators seem to have a penchant for underused formats. Most of their releases have been available on both compact disc and vinyl, as well as 8-track. This is most likely attributed primarily to Nardwuar, whose record label, Nardwuar Records, puts out 8-tracks of all releases.
