Darul Huda Islamic University (DHIU)[1][self-published source?] is a private Islamic educational institution founded in 1986[2][3] in the district of Malappuram. From 2009 it has referred to itself as a University,[4][5] but the UGC did not recognise it even[6] as a Deemed University until 2020 or as a Primary School by any government agency. However, its madrassa course is approved for admission to selected Arabic and Islamic programs in some Indian universities.

Currently, its website lists a number of affiliated institutions across Kerala[7] and other states in India[2] including Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, West Bengal, Karnataka and Assam.[2][3] It aims to produce proficient Islamic scholars who aim at empowering the community along with the modern sciences.[8][9]
