Arrest of Booth

The way i perceived it, the drugs that are found on Hamilton's right-hand man and former head of .security Booth (Kevin Durand) were put there by Vaughn's Deputy.

This is correct. Templeton comically fumbled the packet of drugs out of own boot while frisking Booth. 67.188.1.213 (talk) 07:39, 25 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Deleted "plot" section

I have deleted the "plot" section completely, since it was a copyright violation. It was simply copied word for word from somewhere else; it can be found on http://www.amazon.com/Walking-Tall-Rock/dp/B000274T94. This may seem extreme, but it could not be left, and the alternative of tagging the whole article with a "copyvio" tag is much more drastic. Notinasnaid 15:07, 11 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sequel

According to IMDb, there appears to be a sequel called Walking Tall 2, starring Kevin Sorbo. I wasn't sure about the formatting for adding a "sequel" section. just wanted to give a heads up. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 71.58.73.241 (talk) 19:51, 22 February 2007 (UTC).[reply]

Asleep at the Wheel...

The trivia section claims that the reference to the previous sheriff death by falling asleep at the wheel is a reference to Pusser's death. Is there evidence for this? Couldn't this also refer to the sheriff that preceded Buford who died when he fell asleep behind the wheel? DruidODurham (talk) 13:13, 15 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Semi-protected edit request on 11 February 2019

THE ROCK uses a 4x4 to deliver justice in this movie. The wiki states it is a 2x4. Please change 2x4 to 4x4. 2601:803:8200:1220:9C6D:52AB:3116:5EE3 (talk) 22:20, 11 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Not done: please provide reliable sources that support the change you want to be made. DannyS712 (talk) 23:09, 11 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Cast

The cast section inaccurately lists Cobie Smulders as Beautiful Eye Candy but the actual credits of the movie list her as "Exotic Beauty". (Also IMDB lists her as that too. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0351977/) Please update the article to use the same credit as the film. -- 109.76.144.21 (talk) 05:24, 20 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Please change the sentence "The two fight for their lives, with Vaughn ultimately coming out on top by beating Hamilton with a nearby uprooted tree, breaking his leg." to "The two fight for their lives, with Vaughn ultimately coming out on top by beating Hamilton with a branch from a fallen tree, breaking his leg." There is a video of this scene on YouTube: (Redacted) . 67.188.1.213 (talk) 08:03, 25 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Not done These seem like minor plot details (and an "uprooted tree" is a "fallen tree"). We should be striving to avoid WP:PLOTBLOAT, in any case. RandomCanadian (talk / contribs) 12:29, 25 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
The point was not the distinction between "uprooted" and "fallen" but rather the distinction between the erroneous "tree" and the correct "branch." But whatever. In the interest of correcting an actual error on Wikipedia, avoiding WP:PLOTBLOAT, and keeping in mind WP:PLOTCITE, then, please change "The two fight for their lives, with Vaughn ultimately coming out on top by beating Hamilton with a nearby uprooted tree, breaking his leg." to "The two fight for their lives, with Vaughn ultimately coming out on top." 67.188.1.213 (talk) 02:29, 27 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Partly done: Considering the plot summary is sitting at around 150 words over the recommended 700 by WP:PLOTBLOAT, I'd say removing the specifics of the weapons used during a fight would make sense. I did, however, not follow the request exactly and instead re-worded it to say that Vaughn crippled Hamilton. I think that makes more sense than simply saying "Vaughn beat him" as that would imply Hamilton died (The two fight for their lives), which may cause confusion considering immediately after that it's explained he was arrested. It could be argued the whole "to the death" thing is flair that could be removed to better suit what happens afterward, but that's outside the scope of this request and what I'm willing to do for a film I've never seen nor have investment in. Cheers! —Sirdog (talk) 23:23, 29 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Please change "Vaughn and Templeton find drugs on Booth" to "Vaughn and Templeton plant drugs on Booth". And maybe don't delete edit requests you don't want to handle. Try just leaving them for someone else who feels differently. You don't WP:OWN the article. 67.188.1.213 (talk) 02:34, 27 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Done: I have changed find to plant, Thanks. WikiSilky (talk) 04:22, 5 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks much. 67.188.1.213 (talk) 06:17, 9 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Restore The Rock

The article credited "The Rock" for his work in this film, and his birth name Dwayne Johnson is not used. That is because he was credited using his stage name/wrestling name only, as can be clearly seen on the poster. He is credited as "The Rock" in the open credits of the film. The final credits he is listed as "Chris Vaughn ...... THE ROCK"

If editors want to also add {{Explanatory footnote}} to make it clearer that's fine too but WP:FILMCAST says to cast people as they are credited on screen and that should be restored.[1] -- 109.79.170.230 (talk) 10:21, 8 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you.[2] -- 109.78.202.198 (talk) 12:58, 11 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
It seems no one has bothered to even read WP:FILMCAST. It clearly states "All names should be referred to as credited, OR BY COMMON NAME supported by a reliable source." Dwayne Johnson is the common name. If "The Rock" is notable then it can be covered as "Dwayne Johnson (credited as The Rock)". This is how I put it down for the Doom (film) article. Calling 26% "mixed reviews" is a bit blatant, don't you think? --91.5.101.3 (talk) 12:51, 9 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
