American singer Demi Lovato has released seven studio albums, two video albums, two soundtrack albums, five extended plays (EPs), 44 singles (including 13 as a featured artist), 11 promotional singles and 44 music videos. According to Recording Industry Association of America, Lovato has sold 27 million singles and 4 million albums in the United States.[1] Billboard ranked them as the 84th Top Artist of 2010s.[2]
As of June 2021, they have sold 2.7 million albums, 23.8 million song downloads and their songs have registered 5.6 billion on-demand streams in the United States.[3]
After signing with Hollywood Records,[4] Lovato released their debut solo single, "Get Back", which peaked at number 43 in the United States. Their debut studio album, Don't Forget, debuted at number two on the Billboard 200.[5] The album spawned another single, "La La Land", which debuted within the top 50 in the US.[6] Lovato's second studio album, Here We Go Again, was released in July 2009 and debuted at number one in the US,[6] making Lovato one of the only singers to debut an album at number one on the Billboard 200 before turning 18 years old.[7] Its eponymous lead single became their first top 15 entry on the Billboard Hot 100 as a solo artist, and has been certified Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).[8]
Lovato's third studio album, Unbroken, was released in September 2011. The project debuted at number four on the Billboard 200,[9] and followed two singles: "Skyscraper" and "Give Your Heart a Break", both peaking at the top 10 and top 20 in the US, respectively,[10] and reaching number nine on the New Zealand charts,[11] while "Skyscraper" reached the top 10 in the UK.[12] Lovato released their fourth studio album, Demi in May 2013. It peaked at number one in Canada[13] and Brazil,[14] number three in the US and the top 10 in the UK. The album's lead single "Heart Attack" reached the top 10 in the US, UK and six other countries and has been certified 2× Platinum by the RIAA.[8] The album spawned three more singles "Made in the USA",[15] "Neon Lights" and "Really Don't Care", with the lattermost two being certified Platinum and 2× Platinum by the RIAA, respectively.[8]
Lovato's fifth studio album, Confident, was released in October 2015, their first release after signing with Island Records.[16] It debuted at number two on the Billboard 200 and is certified Platinum by the RIAA.[8] Its lead single "Cool for the Summer" peaked at number 11 in the US, while the album's second single "Confident", and final single "Stone Cold" have been certified 3× Platinum and Platinum by the RIAA, respectively.[17] "Sorry Not Sorry", the lead single from Lovato's sixth studio album Tell Me You Love Me (2017), became their highest-charting entry in the US at number six. The single also reached the top 10 in the US, Australia, Ireland, New Zealand and the UK, and is certified 5× Platinum by the RIAA[8] and Diamond in Brazil.[18] In November of that year, their collaboration with Luis Fonsi "Échame la Culpa" was released and went on to reach number one in seventeen countries and be certified Diamond in Brazil and Mexico.
In May 2018, Lovato and Clean Bandit collaborated on the song "Solo", which topped the charts in sixteen countries, earned Diamond certifications in France and Poland, and was the most searched song on Shazam of 2018, worldwide.
In 2020, Lovato released the singles "Anyone", "I Love Me", and "I'm Ready" with Sam Smith. "I'm Ready" reached the top forty in twenty-two countries, while "Anyone" and "I Love Me" became Lovato's first number-one singles on Billboard's Digital Songs chart.[19][20] These were followed by the singles "OK Not to Be OK" with Marshmello, "Still Have Me" and "Commander in Chief". Lovato was featured on the remix of "Monsters" with All Time Low and Blackbear, which peaked at number 55 in the US. In 2021, Lovato released "What Other People Say" with Sam Fischer, "Dancing with the Devil", and "Met Him Last Night" featuring Ariana Grande, which, alongside "Anyone", is featured on their seventh studio album Dancing with the Devil... the Art of Starting Over, released on April 2, 2021.
In June 2022, Lovato released "Skin of My Teeth", the lead single of their upcoming eighth studio album Holy Fvck.
