Curtain Call 2 has currently received mixed ratings from critics. The compilation album's first mainstream review came from Drew Millard at Pitchfork who stated, "The rapper’s second greatest hits compilation collects some nice singles, but mostly feels like the portrait of a wayward artist who’s spent the last 13 years going in every direction."[3] The next review came from Robin Murray at Clash magazine who said, "Curtain Call 2 is bold in its intention, an attempt to broaden the scope of Eminem’s career, and shuffle away from the fixation on his tabloid-baiting peak. Placed side by side, however, and there’s simply no comparison."[4]
