'Body Bizarre' is a US television broadcast broadcast by Discovery Channel in US. The broadcast is also broadcast in Italy: first on Real Time and recently also on Nove. In the Italian edition the narrator is Paolo Sesana.
It focuses on the narration of cases of people suffering from diseases, usually rare, which by producing "monstrous" bodily deformations (often impressive to behold), almost always weaken their life conditioning it in a more or less heavy and invasive way. Often the identification of the diagnosis is shown, the medical or surgical treatment and sometimes a subsequent visit to verify the success of the intervention.
Usually both the patient's testimony, both in terms of experience and attachment to life, and the diagnostic-clinical opinion of the specialist doctor who examines the case and explains its rarity and severity are reported.
