Per WP:CRIME, convicted criminals should be the subject of a Wikipedia article if and only if (1) the victim is a renowned national or international figure, or (2) the crime is a well-documented and historic event, as evidenced by prominent and sustained coverage. Neither is true in this case, in which a former child actor who had played only the most minor of roles made unfulfilled and unsubstantiated threats against a public figure (not notable on its own) and murdered a non-notable person. Outside of these crimes, the subject is not notable, and this news story is unlikely to have any lasting significance or persist beyond the stories already out. — Goszei (talk) 06:02, 24 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Comment I'm on the fence on this one. I would argue that the article passes GNG due to significant news coverage the subject received for the murder of his mother. That being said, it does seem that the article fails WP:CRIME as per the nom. GoldMiner24 ^Talk 06:22, 24 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
It seems like a standard case of WP:BLP1E, since he is only covered by reliable sources in the context of a single event (i.e. if not for the murder, Wikipedia would not have an article on him as he was not notable enough as an actor). — Goszei (talk) 06:43, 24 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Keep Kid has nearly 40 acting credits and is clearly notable enough to have a page about him even if he hadn't killed his mom. Article should be improved and expanded, not deleted. Happy Evil Dude (talk) 13:19, 24 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Delete. Notability as an actor is not an automatic "any actor who has had X number of roles" freebie, and requires reliable source coverage about his performances to independently establish the significance of said roles — but having had only supporting and bit parts, this kid doesn't have that, and thus doesn't pass WP:NACTOR at all. Rather, the only coverage he has at all is in the context of the murder, which just makes him a WP:BLP1E, and a WP:CRIME failure since the murder itself doesn't have any enduring significance as a crime either. - WP:NOTNEWS. "Currently in the news" isn't necessarily grounds for a Wikipedia article — "he's accomplished something significant enough that people will still be looking for information about him ten years from now" is the bar for a Wikipedia article, and that hasn't been cleared here. Keep: The murder and plot to kill Trudeau have been widely reported by multiple large news companies. Even though he may not be a major celebrity he is still a person of Note, and the crime he committed is still a major one regardless of whether or not the person who was killed was a significant person in the grand scheme of things.
