Controversies section

The "Controversies" section is original research because it relies on too many questionable sources rather than reliable sources. Even if the facts are true, Wikipedia cannot publish them as facts unless an independent reliable source is used. This section does not contain sufficient reliable sources to assert these claims. Wikipedia is not a tabloid or soap box. Grorp (talk) 01:38, 22 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

It's been over a week since I tagged this section and all the unreliable sources, and since no one has corrected any of the problems, nor spoken up, I've deleted this section. If someone wants to rebuild the section using reliable sources, then go ahead. Grorp (talk) 07:28, 31 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I lightly disagree but am nevertheless okay with this change. However, I'm including a link to the removed text to make it easier for future editors to see what was removed in case others more strongly disagree with this removal in the future. The removed text is about the 2020 allegations of animal welfare conditions which were only partially resolved. For the record, I only felt that some of the sources were questionable, while others seemed to be defensible as reliable sources. Some editors were definitely trying to do original research back in the edits made in 2020/2021, but the text removed this week in 2022 had already excised much of that WP:OR. Still, though I lightly disagree that the text was inappropriate for WP, it's close enough to the line that I think the choice to remove the entire section is reasonable. I'm okay with leaving this as is. — Eric Herboso 11:40, 1 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
