Wrong template, no rationale

Hi, these files have a fair-use template on them, but no fair-use rationale is provided on the images' pages. If the screenshots were made with "copyrighted" software, I don't think you can upload them to Wikipedia. --Kjoonlee 07:38, 6 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of attempt at name and site promotions

Loudness war

I have added a "{{prod}}" template to the article Loudness war, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Kubrick Thanks.

Thanks. Before I got to the images, a lot of images in the Kubrick article were poster promotional art for Kubrick movies (none uploaded by me), but these got zapped on the grounds they didn't contribute specific content to the article. I then went for shots that more specifically illustrated Kubrick's unique style, so a loss was turned into a gain. My original choice for Full Metal Jacket was rejected, but I got a better one. ArbCom 2022 Elections voter message

Hello! Voting in the 2022 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 12 December 2022. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
