Hello "Owen&rob" and welcome to Wikipedia. A few tips for you:

I know. I just want to forget about it and move on. Thanks.

Do you want the offending page moved to User:Owen&rob? Secretlondon 19:53, 7 Mar 2004 (UTC)

Let's try now. --Tappyea 21:36, 7 Mar 2004 (UTC) I'm a bit of a rebel, what can I say.

I'm sorry. :( I feel so bad. I promise I'll never misuse Wikipedia like that again. Please forgive me. -14:31, 7 Mar 2004 . . Tappyea

Hi Owen and Rob, I have taken the liberty of restoring your TALK page. Talk pages are considered historical records, of sorts. It is a sort of faux pas to delete or hide what is written here. Sincerely, Kingturtle 23:44, 7 Mar 2004 (UTC)

Injury

Injury was listed on Wikipedia:Speedy Deletions and qualifies as a speedy deletion candidate because it was listed and voted to delete. Please comment on the Speedy Deletions page. - Texture 16:41, 9 Mar 2004 (UTC)

Hello there. The element Phosphorus is one of the most typical things someone might look up in a dictionary, whereas the Greek name for a star is one of the most obscure (I have never heard of it and I would guess that you haven't either). It is general practice to place non-significant disambiguation notices at the bottom of pages, rather than at the top where it is the first thing someone would see, due to that fact that it is unlikely in the extreme that someone looking for the obscure entry would not expect that the item they are looking for would be a mere footnote -- both figuratively and literally -- in the article in question. And by the way, the only articles that link to Phosphorus (morning star) are, in fact, Phosphorus and morning star.

Thanks for uploading the image

I notice it currently doesn't have an image copyright tag. Could you add one to let us know its copyright status? (You can use {{gfdl}} if you release it under the GFDL, or {{fairuse}} if you claim fair use, etc.) If you don't know what any of this means, just let me know where you got the image and I'll tag it for you. Thanks, Kbh3rd 01:34, 7 Jan 2005 (UTC)

This image may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:Univmaintower.jpg. I notice the image page currently doesn't specify who created the image, so the copyright status is therefore unclear. If you have not created the image yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the image on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the image yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the image also doesn't have a copyright tag then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture then you can use {{GFDL}} to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the image qualifies as fair use, please read fair use, and then use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other images, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of image pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. CLW 13:26, 17 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Thomas J. McKay

[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Thomas J. McKay, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. I fixed it, but to fully prove the notability, it should have book reviews added for his books, which are the necessary & appropriate 3rd party sources for WP:PROF. . If you need help finding them, try google Scholar or ask a librarian. DGG (talk) 22:41, 8 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
