Hi! Just a friendly note to let you know to be careful when uploading images. Many are copyrighted and can't be used here. Swing by my talk page if you have any questions. Have fun! - Lucky 6.9 01:00, 16 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Image:USA84.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:USA84.jpg. I notice the image page currently doesn't specify who created the image, so the copyright status is therefore unclear. If you have not created the image yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the image on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the image yourself then you should also specify where you found it, ie in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the image also doesn't have a copyright tag then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture then you can use {{gfdl}} to release it under the GFDL. If you can claim fair use use {{fairuse}}.) See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other images, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thanks so much. --Fire Star 03:02, 17 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading Image:Alice kim.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is therefore unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then you can use {{GFDL-self}} to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media qualifies as fair use, please read fair use, and then use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other media, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Well..

[edit]

I am not bragging. It is just a personal page. And personal means exactly that. About the fact that anyone can edit Wikipedia - well, anyone can do it. That's the purpose - anyone can edit it. I am ok with that. And the fact that many people are older than me - I really, really don't give much shit about it. About the fact that people are vandalizing your personal page - well, that's bad, but I think that there are bots around here that prevent vandalisms and revert malicious edits on personal pages. Also, I am all-around guy and this information is relevant to the point that I would just like to present myself in a meaningful way. I've been here for three years and I held my work here as a big achievement. I don't think I know much and I don't like to show it. Should I write it there as Socrates, that I know nothing?

Elvis and Vandalism

[edit]

Sensed your frustration about the Presley article. Unfortunately, he inspires as much hatred as adoration and he's quite unique in this regard. Great effort is being made to produce a neutral article that reflects his achievements, after it was continually hijacked by immature or ignorant people and, in particular, editors wishing to include material claiming he was gay/bisexual, and had sex with his mother. Go figure...! Rikstar 09:26, 17 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Good day to you! I logged on and immediately noticed a orange sign saying that I received a new message on my talk page (I don't receive messages much so that was a bit of a surprise). Teri Rhodes

[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Teri Rhodes, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you agree with the deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please add {{db-author}} to the top of Teri Rhodes. Regarding your comments

[edit]

I'm not going to get into an edit war, but you can take a look at WP:BIO1E and WP:NOT#NEWS to see why I question Teri Rhodes's notability. And please remember to be civil and sign your posts on other peoples' talk pages. Cheers, Dawn bard (talk) 15:45, 22 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding your other comments

[edit]

You recently shared your opinion about adultism on its talk page. As the talkheader on the page suggests, please refrain from sharing your personal opinions about article topics, particularly as, in this case, they contribute nothing positive to WP. Thanks. • Freechild'sup? 13:34, 26 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I don't see why you have deleted some parts of my opinions on Mr. Cho's page, topic "Love Life". I may not understand your motivations or the reasons to alter user opinions to suit whatever view seems fit, but your action is definitely unwarranted... and definitely malicious.

If you don't really like the way I say or what I say...then feel free to express yourself on the talk page and see if others agree with whatever views you have.

When people alter other people's works or opinions, without their consent, then I tend to view them as something gutless.

Well, I felt it was unnecesary only because virginity is something private. that's all. Calm down! take a chill pill! It's not the end of the world!

Duh, isnt it rude to ask if someone is a virgin? Wouldn't you think it's something private and not something public, but personal?!

Yeah okay, how do I seem gutless? Explain to me because I'm willing to listen. I just didn't know you'd take those things so damn seriously!

Lastly, if you're calling me gutless, I can call you a racist mother fucker and a pervert who wants to know very private things about this Seung Hui Cho. Why do you even care so much?! I mean, let the dead have their privacy too!

January 2009

[edit]

Please do not use talk pages such as Talk:The Notorious B.I.G. for general discussion of the topic. They are for discussion related to improving the article. They are not to be used as a forum or chat room. If you have specific questions about certain topics, consider visiting our reference desk and asking them there instead of on article talk pages. See here for more information. Thank you. Lord Sesshomaru (talkedits) 00:54, 27 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Van daele, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.vandaele.com/1_about/index.htm. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. Speedy deletion of Van daele

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Van daele, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Matt (talk) 05:58, 21 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Re your message: The reason that the article was deleted was because it was a copy and paste from the company's website, which is a copyright violation and not allowed on Wikipedia. The deletion had nothing to do with the company itself. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 19:07, 30 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Unreferenced BLPs

[edit]

Hello Punkymonkey987! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 710 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

  1. Mai Shanley - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL

Thanks!--DASHBot (talk) 07:07, 25 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I have nominated Black Angus Steakhouse, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Black Angus Steakhouse. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. -- Mufka (u) (t) (c) 00:58, 5 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Survey

[edit]

Hi Punky!

I have put together a survey for female editors of Wikipedia (and related projects) in order to explore, in greater detail, women's experiences and roles within the Wikimedia movement. It'd be wonderful if you could participate!

It's an independent survey, done by me, as a fellow volunteer Wikimedian. It is not being done on behalf of the Wikimedia Foundation. I hope you'll participate!

Just click this link to participate in this survey, via Google!

Any questions or concerns, feel free to email me or stop by my user talk page. Also, feel free to share this any other female Wikimedians you may know. It is in English, but any language Wikimedia participants are encouraged to participate. I appreciate your contributions - to the survey and to Wikipedia! Thank you!
