It would be helpful to point out that the "RS" in the post-1999 portion of the History section refers to Electrocomponents brand name RadioSpares, and trading as RS Components, not to Allied Electronics's former affiliation with Radio Shack. It appears that Electrocomponents was trading as RS Components since the 1970's, and archive.org shows the earliest web appearance of www.rs-online.com displaying an RS-branded page in 2004.
