Hello editors, following the death of Herbert Kohler Jr. in 2022, David Kohler was elected chair of Kohler Co., in addition to his role as CEO. This is verified in news sources, including The New York Times and Milwaukee Business Journal. Can editors update Mr. Kohler's roles in the article's infobox, introduction, and Career section?
For the infobox, I propose updating "Occupation(s)" to:
For the introduction, I propose updating to the first sentence to:
Karger David Kohler (born June 9, 1966) is an American businessman, serving as the chair and chief executive officer (CEO) of Kohler Company[1][2] and the fourth generation of the Kohler family of Wisconsin to lead the company since its inception in 1873.
In Career, I propose adding the following sentence:
In September 2022, Kohler was elected board chair of Kohler Co. following the death of his father, who had served as chairman since 1972.[2][3]
I have a conflict of interest as I am seeking these updates on behalf of Kohler via my work at Beutler Ink. Thank you for considering these edits. Danilo Two (talk) 13:29, 26 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Go ahead: I have reviewed these proposed changes and suggest that you go ahead and make the proposed changes to the page. Actualcpscm (talk) 14:41, 26 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Actualcpscm: Thank you for reviewing and granting me the go-ahead, but I prefer not to edit the article directly given my conflict of interest. I know it may seem kind of silly for basic updates like this, but I have always sought to keep a clear line with my editing because of sensitivities surrounding the topic. Might you be willing to update the markup on my behalf?
To help make this absolutely as easy as possible, I've put the wikitext for the addition to Career in the box below:
In September 2022, Kohler was elected board chair of Kohler Co. following the death of his father, who had served as chairman since 1972.}}<ref name="Chairman"/><ref name="Chair-MBJ">{{cite news |last1=Kirchen |first1=Rich |title=David Kohler named new chair of Kohler Co. following death of his father Herb Kohler Jr. |url=https://www.bizjournals.com/milwaukee/news/2022/09/12/david-kohler-named-new-chair-of-kohler-co.html |access-date=17 May 2023 |work=Milwaukee Business Journal |date=September 12, 2022}}</ref>
I hope you are agreeable to this. If not, that's fine, too! I understand. I can wait to see if anyone else is also able to review. Thanks, Danilo Two (talk) 14:59, 26 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
