Ideas to Implement and Possible Sources

Hi all, I plan to improve this article in several ways. Many of the sections are missing information, as mentioned by Wikipedia, and I plan to add new and relevant information to the following sections: the technology, police and government, legal discussions, harassment, bots, and controversies sections, since all these sections either contain no information or not enough information, as indicated by Wikipedia itself. Furthermore, I plan to broaden the perspective of the article since the article looks at privacy from the point of view of the U.S., and not through an international perspective, which I plan to incorporate, especially in the history of privacy section. Moreover, I plan to fix the various grammatical errors I found, clarify key terms and events that are hard to follow which are especially prevalent in the limited section on various countries' perspectives on privacy. In addition to the various clarifications, I also plan to remove any bias present as Wikipedia explicitly mentions that there is bias in various sections and that some sections are written similar to advertisements. I plan to replace this bias with further appropriate content written neutrally. Lastly, many citations are missing and various statements are not backed up, so I plan to find the appropriate citations that need to be added throughout the article.

I was hoping I could receive feedback on the following sources I have found regarding privacy. I plan to use these sources to contribute to this article, so any critique of these sources would be greatly appreciated.

Automated surveillance

With the explosion of automated surveillance technologies, I think it's appropriate to include more information of them in the context of privacy and their privacy implications: face recognition, ALPR, video summarization of numerous cameras pointed at public spaces, extensive data collection, data matching from different databases, big data analysis with artificial intelligence methods, etc. 2A0D:6FC0:B53:600:C48C:743C:7C50:7925 (talk) 18:44, 11 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Globalize the History section

I have just moved the "Internet" section out of the "History" section, as it necessarily involves a more global viewpoint, but the History section is painfully US-centric and gives the impression that privacy itself is a US or Western concept, which is untrue but is often invoked by many entities as a form of propaganda to dissuade people from caring about privacy. To be clear, it would be extremely useful to expand the Internet section with more sources about non-US incidents, but I think it would be most helpful to expand the History section with descriptions of how classical conceptions of privacy have run into the more modern interpretations of privacy around the globe.
