Need 2019 Pricing Information & Ownership Info

In reading this "article" (which is more marketing hype than article) - The current pricing is nowhere to be found. I recently sub'd this service, and quickly found myself paying $59.99 per month for the basic + sports package, and $5 worth of "add-ons" for multiple viewers. This is MUCH higher pricing that anything quoted in this article. I assumed based on this article that I'd be paying about 12 bucks a month. NOT TRUE. So please, if someone is interested, how about updating this page to include accurate pricing information? If people know that it's $54.99 per month, and includes commercials on the live channels, they may form a different opinion about the value. As currently written, it's very misleading! 73.6.96.168 (talk) 14:24, 12 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Also, the owner(s) of FUBO.tv is not a all clear. What is the name of the actual company that owns this site / provider? I see that there are multiple investors, but it doesn't give the name of the company anywhere? Is it a public or private entity? Where are they "located"? All it says is America. Need more info. 73.6.96.168 (talk) 14:24, 12 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

The paragraph regarding J.D. Power is inaccurate.

J.D. Power did substantiate these claims. Fubo's corporate website https://corporate.fubo.tv/ includes a "Read More" link that sends the user to collateral from J.D. Power confirming these claims. The direct link to the J.D. Power collateral is https://corporate.fubo.tv/23-US-JDP-BL_SPR-FuboTV-v2-022223.pdf

Additionally, the following sentence in the same paragraph does not tell the full story. <<To the contrary, real-world rankings of the FuboTV app in various software stores show it lags in customer satisfaction behind some of its peers; in the Amazon app store, it has 3.7 out of 5 stars.[8] >>

Fubo's app is rated 4.5 out of 5 stars. https://apps.apple.com/us/app/fubotv-watch-live-sports-tv/id905401434

To remedy these inaccuracies, I suggest rewriting this paragraph to:

FuboTV earned the highest score in J.D. Power's customer satisfaction survey of live TV streaming providers in 2022, with 789 points in aggregate on a scale of 1,000 possible points, topping Dish Network's Sling TV by just three points.[7] On its website, FuboTV says it earned number one rankings by J.D. Power in programming, features and functionality, customer care and billing and payment. <attribution: link to https://corporate.fubo.tv/>. As of February 2023, the FuboTV app is rated 4.5 out of 5 stars in the iOS apple store and 3.7 out of 5 stars in the Amazon app store. JPFubo (talk) 16:58, 28 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I removed the information to a separate subsection and removed the additional information that was not substantiated by references. Best, SpencerT•C 02:13, 4 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Also cc: TheMediaHistorian I removed the information added here as it was not mentioned in the stated references (and statements like "however, those claims are not substantiated by J.D. Power's press release" verge toward WP:OR, but if it can be substantiated by references, please go ahead with re-addition of the information such as Amazon and Apple store ratings. Note the link provided above by JPFubo regarding the JD Power award. SpencerT•C 02:17, 4 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
"FuboTV says it earned number one rankings by J.D. Power in programming, features and functionality, customer care and billing and payment"
That's incorrect. That isn't substantiated in JD Power's press release. If that can't be noted, Wikipedia shouldn't include that statement on its website, since it's not substantiated. TheMediaHistorian (talk) 22:21, 9 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
That's incorrect. These claims have been substantiated by J.D. Power. See collateral generated by J.D. Power:

If you can substantiate this claim with something other than a Fubo-created press release, it might be taken under consideration by Wikipedia editors. Until then, it should not be included. TheMediaHistorian (talk) 06:26, 27 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Add to intro/fourth paragraph:

The company announced it closed the fourth quarter and full year 2022 with 1.445 million subscribers in North America and 420,000 subscribers in the rest of the world. Fubo also said it surpassed $1 billion in global revenue and $100 million in North America advertising revenue for the first time. movies.[1]

In the sidebar, I would like to update the revenue numbers as indicated above. Additionally, I would like to update the logo with the company's current branding.

I have updated the numbers in the intro. Please specifically state which numbers you would like changed and to what, as well as a link to the current logo. SpencerT•C 03:13, 5 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Product recently changed its name

Not sure on the company name itself, if it's still Fubo TV, Inc., but the product recently rebranded from "fuboTV" to just "Fubo." Not sure how to notate this on the page. — Preceding unsigned comment added by TheMediaHistorian (talkcontribs) 07:30, 9 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

With a reliable source. BilCat (talk) 23:59, 9 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
At the bottom left of Fubo's home page (at least for subscribers), it states: "fuboTV is the world’s only sports-focused live TV streaming service with top leagues and teams, plus popular shows, movies and news for the entire household." The copyright notice at bottom right states "© 2023 fuboTV Inc." I assume you mean they dropped "TV" from their branding in logos, etc. but at this point, its own website supports "FuboTV" remaining its actual name. That may change in an indefinite timeframe. But without a specific reliable published source or a Fubo press release that states they've changed their name, we shouldn't change it in the article, except for the actual logo. BilCat (talk) 00:08, 10 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Amusing that you went through the trouble to look at the Fubo website for examples of where they've yet to update their branding, but couldn't do a Google search to turn up the press release where, yes, they announced the product's rebrand to "Fubo." Anyway, here it is. — Preceding unsigned comment added by TheMediaHistorian (talkcontribs) 05:53, 11 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Good. Have another laugh and figure out how to add it to the article by yourself. BilCat (talk) 06:17, 11 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Already did this. TheMediaHistorian (talk) 00:48, 13 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Per the press release, "FuboTV Inc. (NYSE: FUBO), the leading sports-first live TV streaming platform, today announced it is rebranding its consumer-facing products as Fubo." So the company is still "FuboTV Inc.", as I surmised. As to whether or not the article should be renamed, that would need to be decided by an move discussion. I can do the technical move, but more input is needed before I can do so. BilCat (talk) 20:09, 12 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
The Wikipedia article is about the service and not the company as made pretty clear by the first sentence. TheMediaHistorian (talk) 00:48, 13 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
The ariticle is about both, as indicated in the first line and by the use of the company infobox. BilCat (talk) 02:36, 13 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

History section - Add to 2023 subsection:

Fubo added launched the MLB.TV add-on package ahead of the 2023 baseball season. The company said this addition, alongside its existing carriage of national and local broadcast networks as well as regional sports networks (RSNs) made it the streaming leader in baseball coverage. [1] TechCrunch noted MLB.TV was recently dropped by YouTube TV. [2] JPFubo (talk) 18:45, 19 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

This isn't a promotional platform for Fubo — it isn't relevant that Fubo began offering MLB.TV after a competing streaming service dropped it, even if it was mentioned by a tech blog. It is pretty well established, here and elsewhere, that Fubo is a sports-focused streaming service, so the addition of the MLB.TV deal isn't necessary.
