If you are unable to complete a move for technical reasons, you can request technical help below. This is the correct method if you tried to move a page, but you got an error message saying something like "You do not have permission to move this page, for the following reasons:..." or "The/This page could not be moved, for the following reason:..."

This will automatically insert a bullet and include your signature. Please do not edit the article's talk page.{{subst:RMassist|current page title|new title|reason=edit summary for the move}}
the - If you object to a proposal listed in the uncontroversial technical requests section, please move the request to the Contested technical requests section, append a note on the request elaborating on why, and sign with ~~~~. Consider pinging the requester to let them know about the objection.
- If your technical request is contested, or if a contested request is left untouched without reply, create a requested move on the article talk and remove the request from the section here. The fastest and easiest way is to click the "discuss" button at the request, save the talk page, and remove the entry on this page.
Technical requests
Uncontroversial technical requests
- S-CRY-ed → Scryed (currently a redirect back to S-CRY-ed) (move · discuss) – spelling correction Zguy1217 (talk) 03:07, 1 August 2023 (UTC)
- I've had a look at this one and I'm not sure it's uncontroversial. Sources do seem to have "Scryed" more than "S-CRY-ed". But this was moved in the opposite direction back in 2006, and has stood at this title for 17 years. Also there's this strange situation where the lead gives 3 names, of which 2 are the same. Dr. Vogel (talk) 10:57, 1 August 2023 (UTC)
- The West Hollywood Blondes (currently a redirect to West Hollywood Blondes) → West Hollywood Blondes (move · discuss) – Move over redirect per WP:THE. McPhail (talk) 09:23, 1 August 2023 (UTC)
Requests to revert undiscussed moves
Contested technical requests
- PP-19-01 Vityaz → PP-19 Vityaz (currently a redirect back to PP-19-01 Vityaz) (move · discuss) – Revert move by sockpuppet, as per WP:BANREVERT Loafiewa (talk) 23:47, 29 July 2023 (UTC)
- @Loafiewa: Hm. Do you substantively prefer PP-19 Vityaz? This was an RM, albeit with no other participants. The same user (using Guns & Glory) was also the one who moved it to PP-19 Vityaz in 2020. I don't see anyone in previous discussions who expressed a preference for "PP-19 Vityaz" over "PP-19-01 Vityaz". The previous consensus, as determined by a different user's banned sockpuppet in 2018, was "not moved" from Vityaz-SN. SilverLocust 💬 02:43, 30 July 2023 (UTC)
- I'm not contesting this, however. SilverLocust 💬 03:29, 30 July 2023 (UTC)
- I don't feel particularly strongly about any of the 3 names, but BANREVERT states that "the presumption in ambiguous cases is to revert". Loafiewa (talk) 05:47, 30 July 2023 (UTC)
- While it is true that there is no solid consensus among the 3 names, the sock followed standard procedure to request the move. The last move request which I closed was originally a contested technical request which was converted into a formal RM. The same will hold true for this technical request. ❯❯❯ Raydann(Talk) 09:08, 30 July 2023 (UTC)
- I agree – there was plenty of opportunity for someone to oppose the move, and nobody did. If someone has an objection outside of BANREVERT, I'd be more encouraged to overturn. Skarmory (talk • contribs) 00:21, 31 July 2023 (UTC)

- Needs to go through RM to determine consensus. ❯❯❯ Raydann(Talk) 09:00, 30 July 2023 (UTC)

- Ar Tonelico 2 → Ar tonelico II: Melody of Metafalica (currently a redirect back to Ar Tonelico 2) (move · discuss) – WP:NCVG, it's the work's official title with Roman numerals & the subtite. ►Kyo ►Talk 05:59, 31 July 2023 (UTC)
- Ar Tonelico Qoga → Ar tonelico Qoga: Knell of Ar Ciel (currently a redirect back to Ar Tonelico Qoga) (move · discuss) – WP:NCVG, it's the work's official titlem ►Kyo ►Talk 05:59, 31 July 2023 (UTC)
- @DarkKyoushu: WP:NCVG says the title should be "the most common word or phrase used to describe" it (WP:COMMONNAME), which may not be the full official title (WP:OFFICIALNAME). If the common name is a short version, but that short version is still ambiguous, then the full name could be used to disambiguate the page from other articles (WP:NATURAL). SilverLocust 💬 07:41, 31 July 2023 (UTC)
- Indeed, either way; It should be lowercase "Ar tonelico" - and with a roman numeral for the second title, as WP:NCVG 4. "For series that use either Arabic numerals or Roman numerals to denote the order of games in the series, use the numerals in the official titles for the games, even if their types vary from game to game (for example, Final Fantasy IV instead of Final Fantasy 4, and Quake 4 instead of Quake IV)." I would argue that it'd be WP:COMMONNAME - and by extension WP:NCVG's "Use the most commonly accepted English name first" as all sources on the article use "Ar tonelico II: Melody of Metafalica"; The sources on the Qoaga article use "Ar tonelico Qoga: Knell of Ar Ciel" or "Ar tonelico III" - although now that I'm siffing through these articles and sources; It lacks references and I think these are ready for a clean-up and overhaul. ►Kyo ►Talk 15:13, 31 July 2023 (UTC)
- @DarkKyoushu: These are a potentially controversial moves, so they would need to be discussed. See WP:RMPM for instructions on requesting multiple page moves at once. And since you want to change "Ar Tonelico" to "Ar tonelico", you should probably include the articles Ar Tonelico and Ar Tonelico: Melody of Elemia in your request.
