What was the point of removing the paragraph about gay cruising in Buena Vista Park? The paragraph was 100 percent accurate, and in San Francisco no stigma attaches to that. It's truly part of the park's lore and of local culture. The park is just up the hill from the Castro and from Haight-Ashbury. Gay cruising is no big deal in San Francisco. By the way I live right across from the park, and my windows face the park. --Daltoni 29 June 2005 03:00 (UTC)

I agree it's fine in the article. My impression was that the reputation and the activity had died down in recent years? --Chinasaur 06:57, 15 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Agreed completely with Daltoni. It's died down perhaps a bit, but it is still part of the park's culture and still goes on. Moncrief 07:10, July 15, 2005 (UTC)
Nowadays the prime cruising site seems to be the corner of Noe and Market (or thereabouts); it's a drive through ;). --Chinasaur 07:19, 15 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Whoever changed the cemetery note from pioneer cemetery to victorian cemetery, what is your source? --Chinasaur 06:57, 15 July 2005 (UTC) Done to my satisfaction. --Chinasaur 07:19, 15 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I replaced the apocryphal "dowager's" quotation with something I found in the Examiner that was probably its source. 136.152.167.181 (talk) 18:27, 15 December 2007 (UTC)js[reply]

Here's an online article that provides documentation of the park's reputation as a cruising spot: https://www.sfgate.com/sf-culture/article/buena-vista-park-cruising-renaissance-17691917.php
