Biography

Paul Linnet is an award-winning children's author and illustrator from Brighton, and is co-author with Sue Hendra of the multi-million selling Supertato books.

Work

Linnet secured a publishing deal with Simon and Schuster in 2008 [1]. Linnet and Sue Hendra's picture book, Barry the Fish With Fingers was described as colorful and cheerful by Publishers Weekly and Kirkus Reviews said the book introduced an "impossibly endearing little fish." The New York Times wrote that "the bright and cheerful undersea characters make the ocean seem like a great place to be." No-Bot, the Robot With No Bottom won the Picture Book Award in the 2014 Oxfordshire Book Awards.

Along with Sue Hendra Linnet wrote a book for 2016's World Book Day titled Supertato: Hap-Pea Ever After for pre-school children and a handmade book in 2023 titled The Story of a Story for the British Library

In 2016, his best selling book I Need A Wee won the Scholastic Corporation Laugh Out Loud Award for Best Picture Book.

The Supertato books have regularly topped the children's book charts including in 2020 [2] and 2023

In 2022 Supertato was turned into a hit series for CBeebies on BBC [3] and a range of merchandise is set to follow [4]

Linnet is a regular guest at many International literary festivals, including Edinburgh International Book Festival [5]and the International Literature Festival Dublin [6], as well as school talks.

Paul Linnet is an English author and illustrator.
