Case IH is a brand of agricultural equipment, the brand was purchased in 1999. Case IH Tractors are currently manufactured by CNH Global, CNH is the abbreviation for Case-New Holland and the majority owner of the CNH Global is the Fiat automotive conglomerate.

Currently, CNH operates under the names Case IH, Case Construction, Kobelco and New Holland which each operate as different operating divisions. Case IH markets tractors and agricultural equipment. Case Construction markets construction equipment from skid steers to large front loaders. Kobelco markets construction equipment, particularly known for manufacturing excavators. New Holland markets both agricultural and construction equipment.

Case IH currently markets small compact utility tractors, for landscape and property maintenance, under the brand name Case-Farmall. The Case-Farmall compact utility tractors are nearly clones of the New Holland Boomer series tractors. Case also markets larger tractors aimed at the agricultural market under the brand names Case and Steiger. Despite the fact that the compact utility tractors marketed by Case IH are nearly identical to the New Holland Boomer series tractors, many of the larger agricultural tractors marketed by these two respective brand names are unique to those brands.

The Case IH name originates from Case Corporation and International Harvester, both predecessors to CNH Global. In 1985 Tenneco purchased most of the agricultural equipment assets from International Harvester Company and merged them with their company, J.I. Case to form the Case IH brand. In 1999 Case Corporation merged with New Holland to form CNH Global N.V. The brand Case IH is now used for agricultural equipment, whereas the brand Case or Case CE is used for construction equipment.
