Individual Opinion?

The Catholic Church explicity condemns all practice of sorcery, witchcraft, and divination, etc. CCC 2116 declares that ""All forms" of divination are to be rejected." Unless you are claiming that Ouija boards are not practices of divination, then I don't know what could be the issue. KEleison (talk) 06:15, 9 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

The issue, as stated, is that WP disallows “individual research.” You cannot add text on the basis of what YOU claim to be true. Find a citation to back this up. RobP (talk) 13:52, 9 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

It's also true that the Ouija board parlour game is not a "practice of sorcery, witchcraft, and divination", any more than the Magic 8 Ball or Eeny Meeny Miney Moe or a card trick or a routine meant to discover your soap opera name. I don't know if the Catholic Church has specifically claimed it is one, but to put it in OP's words, "Ouija boards are not practices of divination". Categorically. Ouija boards, older consoles, copyrights-infringing consoles and the likes on the rise because of NIntendo's Switch console problems!

It's weird to acknowledge, but just as other consoles, even illegally sold potentially copyrights-infringing consoles and even this Ouija board seen here are massively salesnumbers-wise on the rise now. This trend is mainly there, because either it's a new trend in general or people are looking for good alternatives to buy instead of a Nintendo Switch console. Europe has it now the worst as there are not only general console problems viewable, but also price intransparency problems. This is crucial not to own in Europe as an issue that your pricing looks intransparent to people. origin of name "Ouija"

The article states the origin thus - "The name is taken from a word spelled out on the board when its inventor asked a supposed ghost to name it." - then gives a reference. In the referred article, this is described, but the article goes on to say that the name may well have actually come from the name engraved on a locket worn by one of the participants.
