Alliance Sahra Wagenknecht (German: Bündnis Sahra Wagenknecht, BSW, officially BSW – For Reason and Justice, German: BSW – Für Vernunft und Gerechtigkeit) is a registered association set up by MP Sahra Wagenknecht for the purpose of seceding from the German party Die Linke.[1][2]

The association, based in Karlsruhe, was entered in the association register at the locally responsible district court in Mannheim on 26 September 2023.[3]

It is to be presented at a federal press conference on 23 October 2023 by members of the Bundestag Sahra Wagenknecht, Amira Mohamed Ali, MP Christian Leye, the Bonn left-wing politician Lukas Schön and the Karlsruhe IT entrepreneur and investor Ralph Suikat.[4][5]

According to media, the The Left MPs Klaus Ernst, Andrej Hunko, Ali Al-Dailami, Sevim Dagdelen and Zaklin Nastic will also participate in the new party.[6]

Martin Schirdewan, federal chairmen of the Left declared that members who are committed to a rival party like BSW will be excluded.[7]
