Linux
As you should all know, Linux is better then Windows. Im pretty sure that even the wikipedia servers use linux instead of windows because Linux is more stable and also better. Here are 10 reasons why you should use linux and not windows.
1. Linux is better.
It is not developed by a billion dollar corporation and instead if you really want to, you can develop it!
2. You are allowed to uninstall your web browser.
You know about "microsoft edge", that browser nobody uses but cant uninstall? Well linux does not have this problem unlike windows. In fact, you can uninstall anything including the bootloader or even the kernel! (not recommended)
3. I use it
I use linux. Is that not enough to make you windows users switch over?
4. you can make it look however you want
in windows 8 they removed a bunch of customization because in windows 7 you could switch between the windows 95 theme with any color you want and the aero theme with some preset colors. very cool! however, in windows 8, (or 10 whatever) microsoft decided that the best course of action is to shove that stupid metro theme down your throat whether you like it or not. however on linux, if you know how to manipulate your window manager or even just to download stuff and put it in the correct folder, you can make it look any way you want!
5. its free
if you are broke or just dont want to pay microsoft a dime, then get linux because you can download the disk images that you can then boot from and install. very cool. and free.

7. lower compatability with viruses and trogans
do you know why linux isnt compatable with most software? thats because barely anybody uses it. do you know why windows is compatable with a lot of software? thats because nearly everybody uses it. fun fact: viruses and trogans are software. you know what that means? why of course, you can get away without using an antivirus, of course! i have never gotton a virus for linux and i have only ever heard of somebody who i know getting one once.
8. performance
linux performs better then windows because of the way the kernel works and because of reason number 9. also its filesystem is apparently faster and it seems to be true because my windows computer takes about as long as my linux computer to search for files in 1/10th of the data.
9. privacy
did you know that windows is constantly phoning back to microsoft to give them your data? (and even other random websites for an unknown reason) this is a big reason to use linux instead because the kernel itself doesnt phone home at all and if you dont like that a distro phones home just use a different disto that does not phone home. problem solved.
10. because it takes power away from microsoft and other os makers
if the other 9 reasons did not get you completely sold on using linux, either this one will or you do not know enough about operating systems and computers to switch over. that is fine, even i have a period where i used windows 7 instead of linux. (then i switched over around the windows 10 era when my computer would not stop nagging me to downgrade). currently, linux has a market share below 2%, and windows has over 80%. this means that microsoft is a monopoly. lets try to get rid of this monopoly by not using windows! now if you find the terminal as scary as what goes on under your bed at night, you will probably think "ok i will use macos". however you should not do that because apple is also a monopoly with their unrepairable hardware and closed source operating systems. so if you want to get rid of those monopolys, either use one of those even less popular operating systems like bsd or use linux! (and if you are scared of the terminal just try using it for a few days or get an easy distro where you can do almost anything without a terminal such as mint).

so the thing you should take away from this is that linux is superior to windows and macos because it is not owned by a multibillion dollar company. not much else, though.
