Petrosal Ganglion[edit]

This article implies that petrosal = superior and petrous = inferior. Is this really the case? It seems that petrosal is often used for the inferior - see for example Merriam-Webster Medical Dictionary and Stedman's Cmungall (talk) 01:21, 16 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
