Is that clerical error story true? I'm weak on Australian history, but if it's true then it deserves an entry all to itself! Tannin 11:52 Mar 18, 2003 (UTC)

I had heard that story before, but judging by this and this, it's a myth. Neither make any mention of it, instead they say it was a decision which took more than 10 years of deliberation. -- Tim Starling 23:33 Mar 18, 2003 (UTC)

Merger of A/W

[edit]

Some articles (like Wondonga, Victoria, Albury, New South Wales) say that there have been proposals to merge Albury-Wodonga into a single city, and direct here for more information. But there's no more information here. I've heard/seen in various places both information that it has already happened (which seems to contradict WP), and that proposals for it have generally been turned down. Has anyone got any information they can add to this article? —Felix the Cassowary 06:06, 7 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
