Need to mention his role in Las Vegas of late.

Caan also portrayed in a very believable fashion, the tough job of being buddy the Elf's biological father in Elf with Will Farrell in November 2003.

Born 1939 or 1940?

There appears to be a conflict with Caan's date of birth. IMDb reports 1940, NNDB 1939. Does anyone have any additional sources they could cite so that this may be resolved? Hall Monitor 18:24, 27 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Personal information?

I've seen the episodes of The Simpsons and Family Guy where Caan is mentioned: having him appear at the "Playdude treehouse," appearing as a womanizer in The Simpsons episode All's Fair in Over War and the episode of Family Guy where he punches the bunny - does anyone have infromation on his personal life that can explain why they portrayed him like this is those episodes? Notable names database gives his full name as James Langston Edmund Caan, imdb gives it as James Edmund Caan, and his fan club website gives it as James Langston Michael Caan. Does anyone know his real full name?
