the statement that st. michaels is the largest church in canada east of quebec city is not even close to being true. st. michael's seats 1200 people according to this article, and the basilican of st. john the baptist in st. john's, newfoundland seats more than double this number-it is listed here as seating 2500: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Basilica_of_St._John_The_Baptist
