It
[edit]might help if someone would more clearly disambiguate his New Zealand connections, as well as those of England.
Thank You.

I thought, when I created the article, that he was a New Zealander. Is that wrong? Did he simply live (perhaps for a time) in New Zealand? -Fsotrain09 13:33, 24 August 2006 (UTC)
- I understand from a person who knows the family that he is New Zealand-born and that the family name is Scandanavian. His father was Presbyterian Minister, now working for the Methodist Church in Britain. A distription of his ministry in NZ (without details on his family) can be found at http://www.archives.presbyterian.org.nz/Page209.htm .

I remember this guy when I was growing up, so he also has an Australian connection. I knew him as being a New Zealander, but living in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne (would have been ~1979-1981).
But isn't the correct spelling of his name Wigg with two Gs, not two Is? His (and/or his brother's - he's a twin) story was that their father changed their name from Wig to Wigg to have a distinctive name, but that may just have been a story... Stephen
- Olaf Wiig is the husband of Anita Mcnaught who is from England. Olaf Wiig is from New Zealand, not England or Australia as others have mentioned. This is the connection between Anita Mcnaught and Olaf Wiig - as Mcnaught worked for Television New Zealand for 13 years.Samuel67 12:19, 3 September 2006 (UTC)
